Mass air sensor problem

Hi there i think my Mass air sensor is faulty, the car idles quiet erratically sometimes,i am going to clean it first with the proper stuff just to see if that will do the trick but if it is faulty im going to have to get a new one,ive been looking on ebay and have seen them priced around £36 but then ive also noticed that if you go down the page they are over £100,has any one tried the cheaper ones and if so are they ok,and why is there such a big difference in price, im not sure which one to get any help would be very much appreciated, ged

If you do need to get a replacement, get a genuine Volvo/Bosch one, as they really don't like the pattern ones.

'Brains' is right some parts (MAF, plugs) have to be genuine Volvo items.

Yes i think your right i might get a used one, ive just been looked on ebay cost rang between £18 to £40,many thanks for you input Ged
