Hi all,

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section. Could someone link me to a guide on how to fit a blanking plate? Just want to get it right before I pull off vacuum hoses left right and centre.

Also, if you upgrade the turbo to say.. a 19t, would this plate still be usable on the 19t? Just for future reference, rather ask now than later!

Don't bother removing the vacuum hose until you've got it off. It only has one coming off the top that goes all the way to the inlet manifold. This is were to connect your BOV to too.

Just 3 10mm (I think) bolts, the bottom one is a bit difficult to get to, easier from under the car.
When you remove the old recirc valve be sure not to drop the spring etc from under the cover. Also ensure the area is clean.
And yes it will fit other turbos from the range :)

Not a very good pic but here is mine fitted, this is looking from above of course...

Cheers for the swift response :D I'm pretty swift with fiddly bits so I'll give this a go!

No problem mate, it's dead easy, just access is a problem.

Get yourself a hinged 10mm ratchet spanner, makes the job much easier!

Fit a one-way valve to the recirc pipe. Much less effort and does the same job :)

Thanks guys, don't know if i'll be fitting this due to mine being an ME7. I'm not all there with Volvos yet and I am a young noobie.

Fit a one way valve with a bypass switch. Had one on mine for a while.
