I'm using a 80mm one off a vauxhall omega, 4" might be a bit to big imo.

thanks for your input fellas, only reason I was looking at 4" was because that's the size of the inlet on the new turbs,so maybe a 4" to 3" silicone reducer might be in order lol

Think I've still got a 3" Maf knocking about if you need one.

Keep a eye out on ebay for a BMW 540i MAF

All you need is the housing, just use the 850 sensor. It max flow is 1603 cfm compared to the 850 which flows 826 cfm

That`s what I`m running :)

If all thats needed is the housing and the 850 sensor will fit, then i may have one somewhere as i got a new maf just before i crashed my 540. Sure i kept it (no idea why i kept it though???)

Sensor is dodgy, but if the 850 sensor can be used then that doesn't matter.

It will be like this one E39 540 maf sensor (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-5-SERIES-540I-Bosch-MAF-Mass-Air-Flow-Sensor-/400677960460?_trksid=p2054897.l4275)

I think its only 3.5" though.
I'll have a look on wednesday for it as i'm out all day tomorrow and there's no lights in my garage at the minute.

Couldn't find it today, but have moved house only a few months ago so still have things that need sorting.

I'll have a look in the loft tomorrow.

Sorry if i'm dragging, but its been a busy week.

I've not been able to find it.

Managed to find a grille from my old s70r, an mbc, boost gauge, clear side light for an s/v40 and the top part of an s70/850 airbox, but no maf sensor.
