Come back from holiday and discovered that when driving the car the power steering is groaning when ever the steering is turned, even light turning whilst driving. The car also seems to pull to the left when driving.

I've done a quick internet search and some people have said about draining the reservoir, but do you think it could be something larger? pump, steering rack?
Thought I'd do some research here before I put myself at the mercy of a garage.

I presume you've checked the obvious like fluid levels?, sounds like there may be air in the system. Bleeding it is just a case of going from lock to lock a few times until all the air has escaped the system.

Yeah all the fluid levels are all good. I'll try the lock to lock thing, thanks

You did check the fluid level with the engine running?

do a fluid change but put front of jacks front up in the air less pressure on the rack when clearing air
