Hi all as per title really. Was wondering if the cold weather and having a cone filter fitted would cause this? Thanks in advance.

Highly unlikely, need to get your codes read, my C70 threw up a TCV code when my lambda light came on.

So how do i go about resetting the light/turning it out? can i just disconnect the battery for a few mins or unplug and re plug back in the MAF sensor connection. Or is there a special way of resetting it?

It may very well be a faulty MAF, but before doing anything I'll pull the codes for sure.

If it is a MAF, before you buy another one, remove yours, give it a clean with a product like this -

and then refit and try again.

I had a failed MAF with my 1998 V70T5 a couple of months ago. Cleaning didnt resolve it though, so fitted a new MAF and all good.

The "lambda" light or MIL light will come on when the ecu detects a fault.

This could range from the maf to running lean.
