Anybody know about abs?
The worst nightmare on any car.
Never found it usefull allways a way for garages to make money.
My opinion - learn driving and get rid of abs.

But back to the question,
My abs light is on,
How to find out why and what's the fault on it I a easy way please?

Ops, it's a 2000 fwd volvo v70 2,4 patrol Automatik estate. Mark 1

Thanks

It's either going to be a sensor, reluctor ring, or ABS ECU, you'll need it plugged into VIDA to find out which. ABS has saved my cars from idiots on more than one occasion.

Hehe - Graham found out just how good the ABS is on the Sweed shortly after I changed the brakes :D Went even paler than usual :P

Oh... as above - plug it in and see what comes up.

I still repair ABS ECU but like Steve said - probably worth fixing. Split or rusted out reluctor rings (with missing teeth) or frayed looms for the sensors or dry connections on the ECU PCB are the usual suspects.

If you have the presence of mind to cadence brake when in an emergency then fair play to you.
