Ok need to know if my t5 has a mapped ecu or not.
Its a 1997 volvo v70 t5 and the boost seems all over the place, had it hit 20psi today and no fuel cut.
The ecu box in the engine bay has got a screw through the metal holder so would say someone has been in there.
Any other ways of telling if its been mapped?

Is there anything on the ECU itself?

If the boost is all over the place, I might be an idea to check all the associated pipework for the tcv and actuator.

Boost pipes could do with being changed and did think of the actuator, but surprised why theres no fuel cut.

You are none too far from Tim Williams who is in Coalville and is just about the most honest and capable man you will find.

If you either pm me or send me an email don@kalmar-union.com I will give you his 'phone number.

Yes mate, will get some better ones soon and will put up a thread about it.
Dont think shes mapped now as changed all the vac hoses and adjusted up the actuator and was only maxing 13psi through all gears so glad i saw the spike or bad things could have happened lol, still strange theres no fuel cut though.

That's 4psi more than standard isn't it?

Maybe it has an auto map or summat?

Does seem odd, put a mbc on it now and running a safe 14psi.Will do for now until next year.
