I`ve been informed that her car has stopped blowing warm air into the foot wells.

It`s 56 reg 2 litre petrol V50

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Yep...

Push it into a field and torch it.

Jamming a candle in the back seats works best - gives you a couple of hours to "be somewhere else" ;)

Has the selector broken that moves the flap inside?
I had a similar problem on my x's 54 plate focus bag of shat.
I used to be able to get my skinny hands up there & move the flap (oooh-er).

Well your V50 is a Ford and has many parts from a Focus. I would consult the Ford forums mate. For one thing, your nearside fuse box in the footwell above the cheap cardboard trim held in by two yellow plastic tabs has a Ford sticker on it and the Fuse box is the same as that in a Focus from the same year!

Although ppl call it the fuse box, it's actually the CEM and the multiplugs are constantly being kicked by clumsy long legged passengers and owners that don't bother to refit the protecting trim.
I have to Hard reset about 3 or 4 a month!!

the motors could have gone out of sync, if they haven't actually failed. this is something you can check on vida.
