Couldn't walk past this one...meet Kim jong ill, the T4! So named as 'REE' is on the plate and that is what the Dear Leader would say if he was driving it. Great fun :)

Dash display was showing 60 mpg while plodding along at 50, past miles of road works, average was 40 to 45 mpg on a long run & performance was pretty good when tested - slightly better than my T5 as standard......so I guess the VVT is working OK....

Being a manual, driving it was a bit more engaging than the Shark. I'll try my best to keep it standard, 200 hp seems more than adequate.....

Looks mint!! T4's are so underated. I love mine, it really shifts as well. Handles great compared to any T5's I've driven!! You got the best colour too but I may be a bit biased.

The handling is great compared to the S70!! Nice colour isn't it, not mint by any stretch & done 144k miles so it was cheap enough. The photos make it look good though :)

Good choice, the T4!

Been giving serious thought to getting Louise one of these for when the bairn gets here.

Ray le Otter's let her down a good few times now and I don't fancy it happening with a newborn in tow! :(

Anyway, looks pretty smart mate. Good colour and even better name! ;)

I like the s/v40 series I've had 2 so far and even the 1.8 I had was nippy .now I have a 2.0t for everyday use and drives very well too .

Poor Ray le otter......aye can't have her stranded, hope he isn't heading for the bin :) i was going to give u shout actually, see if you wanted rid of it. I needed some transport while the Shark is off the road - it was either this or a 106 Rallye series 1.

REE cracks me up, childish i know. It's a slight dig at the cars Mitsubishi roots also, I know it isn't a Korean company, but they did make use of Korean forced labour at some point in their history

I always avoided them as I though they were boring....how wrong I was! Volvo must have been trying to prove rthat opinion wrong. I guess the 2.0t is the same engine with an (even) smaller turbo...looking on the net there is quite a bit of tuning to be had for both cars!!! noooo don't look!!

On a t4 you can put and mbc on them and run them at 1.2 bar and fueling is fine to that level .dont go higher though they tend to run lean after that .mate ran his at 1.4 bar but it was getting lean at that stage .

Nah, he's going nowhere at the minute matey. Don't worry your pretty little head!

Good choice with the T4, but those 106 Rallyes are pretty epic fun to be fair.

Straight swop OK but can I keep the engine, like it and it will fit in a 400-series as we are talking about!!!

Took the T4 down to Liverpool & back today, 40 mpg...nee bad considering I was crossing them thar Pennines

Yeah not bad at all are they! I get 38mpg with the cruise on at 75-80mph with the odd stops for traffic.

Mitch I have PM'd you about your map........I'm not really looking for a map but have a question about the immobilizer (got some plans for this car!)

They are good on fuel for what they are. Mine had a few mods, would manage 0-100mph in 14.4 yet still would average high 20s for the week and high 30s on a run, and it was an auto.

I know of a couple of yellow S40 T4s around, but so far I haven't seen another V40...
