Looking at replacing my C70 2.5t for a V70. But was just wondering what the C70 is worth. It's a 1999 saffron C70 2.5t, auto, 125,000. New cambelt, water pump, and full service with front pads and discs 4k ago. Also had new front shocks at same time. Tyres only done about 3k. New battery few months ago.Drives perfectly. Private plate too. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, they're just not fetching much money at the moment mate, so about £500. :(

Might hang on to it as we'll then. Been offered a 2002 V70 2.4 for very little money and was tempted as Its only got 80k.

I thought it was worth more than that. There are old 850s going for 2k on eBay.

Sadly the c70's aren't as desirable as the big buses & most volvo's are worth more in bits.
I was eyeing up a v reg t5 manual with 74k & 12months mot for £600.
If the rear belts were baby seat friendly I'd of had it. :)

They are, Charlies seats been in the back of mine more than once, also with the buckles being on the outside of the car they're easier to do up too. :D

I'm only quoting the going rate mate, the private plate is only worth something if someone wants it, I have no interest in private plates, so would never pay extra for one, also being a 2.5 auto, it's neither fast, or particularly economical, so the only thing it's really got going for it is the colour. ;) Sorry Nick, not meaning to be over critical of your car, just looking at it through a potential buyers eyes.

Yes I agree, I have my daughters seat in the back of mine and it's no problem at all :)
