..... After the group buy thread died of death with a 10 week wait for delivery, I took it upon myself just to buy some. They arrived next day, so a quick call to Hamish at HLM, to see if it was possible to loan a ramp for an hour and they were fitted.

Very simple to fit, if I can anyone can, and a few adjustment with the info received from Woody (thanks)

The ride is a little firmer than my Koni FSDs that I fitted a couple of months ago, but I have to say they are superb. Better traction and alot better in the twisty bits.

So thanks to Hamish for all the abuse today and Woody for making me spend money.

I think the group buy is still on, we're saving up for Christmas never mind 10 weeks

Interesting to know they give a firm ride, not rock solid I hope

Look good mate, if you want to know what a firm ride is you should try my C70. ;)

I used to have those coilovers fitted mate, they were awful, I'm surprised you still have them on, these are a million times better. Well worth anyone's money in my opinion.

TBH, I can't afford a set of BC coilovers yet, and would rather spend the money, and a bit extra on a LSD. Other than the ride, the car handles really well on them, and corners fairly flat, even at track speeds.

I think you've made the right choice Neal...

I was so impressed by the way these transformed Woody's car after he fitted them. I honestly think they rival KW V2's in terms of the quality and ride but at half the price.

Now you need to set a lap time somewhere and begin a benchmark ;)

Looking forward to seeing how you get along with these Neal as im at a cross roads what to do with the gull it must be able to have a half decent ride for every day use

It is bloody annoying that I have an AWD.

I will be putting coilovers on it soon but the options are limited and the cheapest I've found are KW V2's at £1140ish from Motorsport World. Will ring around a bit when I actually have nearer that mark!

Well I am rapidly running out of patience with the group buy, but I also have no spare money, plus the wife would kill me if a set of coilovers turned up here. I think I might send them to HLM and see if she notices how much lower Betsy sits?

That may be a good idea, but it probably doesn't matter now if she whips your bits off.......:haha:

My work mainly lol.

Mrs. M-R-P still hasn't noticed the Ultra Racing strut brace nestled snugly under the sweed's bonnet and I've no intention of showing her either lol.

Oh dear I just made a mess. That is sex Neil.
Nebs are an awesome wheel on any volvo but they certainly finish off yours. Hope I can get a nice deep shine like yours. What products do you use for that please?
Also, what coilovers does Steve have & you had?
I only ask as my new motor has coilovers but am unaware of the brand.
Morgan said they weren't bad on the test drive so fingers crossed. ;)

Prosport coilovers, ebay cheapies, they lower the car nicely, ans improve handling, but the ride is very firm.

The kit came with the rear adjusters, but they won't fit on with the rear spring retainer. TBH, it's better for me as it lowers it a bit more. :D

Nealevo

The rears are adjusted (height) on the spring with a spring release sleeve and rebound adjustment on the shock, very simple to fit.
