Anyone changed a recirc valve on k24 turbo and what did you use?I`m suspecting mine is not doing the job as I can hear a funny noise on the boost and only boosting 15-16psi with MTE stage1 map. Also what boost should you have from MTE stage 1?I blocked the recirc valve pipe and the boost is now about 14psi.Looks like its a turbo off job on these the remove it.

There's a forge replacement valve, it's a pita but doable with the turbo on.

There a forge copy one on eBay I was looking at.

I've got a forge actuator (gen) and forge copy recirc on mine, I posted before on your thread that the recircs split, esp if tuned

The big problem with fitting them is the hard pipe (not sure if it's oil or coolant) gets in the way of one of the bolts.

I`ve got a dump valve type of noise from s60 and kind of leaking noise from v70.Happy days lol

There's a thread on swedespeed about it, apparently it's easier removing the wastegate.

The dump valve noise will be a leak somewhere mate

I`ll see if I can borrow a boost leak tester kit,was going to buy one but paying out so much as it is.

If it sounds like a sneeze, it'll be one of the big pipes, if there's a bit of chatter, it'll be the pipe that feeds the recirc.

We're in good company then, even if the 911 is just an overgrown Beetle. ;)

Did you see james may last week? Described the original black prototype beetle as "Darth Vader's Helmet" lol, did make me chuckle

The TD 04 Mitsubishi series share the same recirc but the K24 uses an internal valve.

Just people know its the same as the volvo powered focus and the same as corsa and astra vxr.

I bought I cheap 30 quid one as money is tight at the min and its made a huge difference. That old one was split so was making very little boost

You git,I need one too, just tested my actuator and its loosing the pressure which is most likely the cause of my overboost.

I had to get a new rod £7.50 and diaphragm £15 but its cheap £35 odd for a forge actuator, new they are £165.

cant really compare it to a forge one, but certainly works better than the broken oe one
