P0778, p1618 error

Hi guys had problems with my v70 t5 2001 gear selector or something like that went on the gearbox i have replaced the gearbox with one i know to be fine, however started it drive down the road and it went into safe mode (sat in 4th gear) have plugged it in to my reader and got codes p0778 and p01618 all the wiring looks good and reader says electrical does any one know if its a sensor or something?
