Hi guys!

Mark (Mulletboy2) on here has let me know about this site, as I'm interested in buying a T5 :)

It looks like a great site, and I hope you all don't get bored of me posting questions all the time!!!!

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris! Welcome to the forum!! Glad you could join us!!!

So you have been tempted into a T5? What do you drive now?

Ask away - the more questions there are to answer the less trouble the boys get into LOL

Well, it's a Vauxhall Vectra SRi, which I unfortunately, had an accident in a couple of weeks ago. It should all be repaired by Thursday though.

I was thinking of going for another Vectra.....this time, the GSi 2.5 V6, but after Mark buying his new T5 from a member on here, and my Dad owned a 940 Wentworth Turbo and an S40 TDi, it's got me wanting a T5 too

Once you have been out in Marks new baby you will soon catch the T5 bug. The V6 vectra is only about 170bhp stock - the T5 has got so much more to give

Welcome mate :) As I said, everyone here's very helpful, so ask away. There's a thread around with info on the differences between the different models, which is worth a read. Also, check out the For Sale section too.

An idea of budget will help everyone in recommending any good marques that are around in your price range. All I'll say is "it worked for me" :D

Cheers

Mark

Well, Mark took me for a spin, as I've purchased a bit of audio equipment off him.

It's certainly made my mind up

By the 2nd month (after acquiring one), you would be souping it up to satisfy your need for speed. However, you should get hold of an existing owner to help you scrutinise potential units. Once you've got a lemon, it's gonna be costly to get it back to shape.

Thing that bugs me about the 855 is that noise intrusion from the back but with a good ICE system, you may get over it. Another is the harder ride compare to other makes, when you are going too slow. Could be due to the stiffer springs/absorbers for a fast wagon. My two cents but don't mind me... I'm new here....

Thanks for the welcome Justin. BTW is traffic heavy at the site during this hour (11am) ? I'm getting very slow response (and broken links) but maybe it's my dial-up. I'm still waiting for the broadband connection as the tel-co here is delaying me.

Hi Glock, traffic is never a problem as the site is hosted on a quad xeon p4 server with 3gb of ddr ram :):):)

Must be dial up :(

Getting ICE in the back won't be a problem. It's just a rear window out, jigsaw and welder job... couple of IB subs.. not a problem :D
