How about a tidy up of the how to forum and some new how to's on general maintenance to help everyone out from the novice who has never picked up a spanner to the intermediate diy-er, so anything from a simple oil change to a turbo swap, full belt change etc etc.
The more money you save doing things yourself, the more money you have for modifying and keeping your car in tip top condition.

LOL @ Andrew.
Dave, anything and everything that will save people money mate, for example ive just done a simple oil change, but i know some people will pay a garage to do it for them as they are unsure of how to do it themselves.
I just want the VT5 forum to be even more informative than it already is!

Yup totally understandable - it's down to the members to provide this information thought. Myself and Dave have done a couple - I'll try and get one on some wiring when I do mine in the next few weeks etc Maybe another on painting my callipers - I'll see what I can come up with.

Yeah, totally agree with the comment that its down to the members, i should have done one for the oil change. I know that i will be fitting my towbar very very soon, so i shall get one done for that.

I think that you'll have to be a bit more specific than "anything and everything"
if you have specific topics you want to see then I will see if I can get the info up. It is also beholden on all the members to add to it too.

xI've had a go because of a request but it will be lost under mods. Where should all these helpful hints be posted so as to be findable without spending hours searching?

The knowledge section is specifically for how 2s and hints. In my mind, It is not encouraged that any one thread should be replied to with loads of questions etc because we run the risk of diluting its usefulness.
Rule of thumb is that if you want to ask questions about modification/problems it is more appropriate to use the modification section or general problems sections. if you actually have something to demonstrate then use the knowledge section.
