After lowering my V70 R's rear bumper a few weeks ago, and seeing the state of the brackets, I just had to replace them:-

The old

The new(the old bolts are just for the pic, has I've also replaced those, and the long ones that go under the bumper)

Also replaced the centre console insert as the old one was cracked/faded, and swapped the C70 and V70 headlights around. The V70 now has Crystals, and the C70 the black projectors, and I'm liking them.

Where did you get the brackets from Mark, are they Volvo ones, or did you have them made up?

I will take pics of the headlights soon(tomorrow). With the C70 being black, I think the black projectors really suit it.

All parts from Volvo, through my local indy. The brackets and bolts were £39 or so, but I think that was the cost price to him, as he makes enough off me with other work.

Coming from you, it must be good work. One of those jobs that you can't see, but I have the piece of mind now that they won't need changing again.

Good work Mark, can't wait to see the difference the light swap makes.

Cheers Graham. I just thought that the contrast of the Crystals on a dark car looks really good. I love the projectors, but maybe I should have gone chrome rather than black.

Thats not good to see. At least the rest of the metalwork looks good and sturdy - lots of underseal :)

This might be another job that I'll need to do on the BoneWagon when I get the bumper off to repaint it... so the list goes on :(

Thanks for the heads up anyway

A fairly cheap and easy job if I can do it, but it does seem to be a common issue with these cars.
