I have had engine management light on, which was caused be Maf that was past its best, I have replaced the MAF, is there any way of resetting the engine management light without going to Volvo and connecting to Vida or using a code reader?

Sadly - no mate.

you might get away with pulling the battery for a couple of hours but no promises.

If you have an android phone, you can get the torque app for under 4 quid and a bluetooth dongle for under a tenner. Works a treat.

I did have one, it was ok, not much trouble, but the Mrs's wrote it off so we got a good settlement and brought the V70R AWD P1 Ph3, talk about trading up.... lol

A 3rd gen P1 R? you are aware they were the testbed for the P2 R models aren't you? lol.

Although, Steve's one has been great since he made it fwd and fitted mahooosive brakes on it.

will be mot'ing our one in the next few weeks and sending it too volvo for gearbox flush and software updates, as a few people I have spoken to have said the same thing now, so I try it and if it fails then we'll go manual awd on it, I'm probably only delaying the inevitable ....lol

Go 6-speed if you can, Steve's one is pretty nippy with a focus box on it.

yes thats what Steve and I where talking about, but I wanted to try and do it with the M66 AWD box, but it is finding one at a sensible price and then the night mare of whether the shafts will suit or try to source some that do. Would love to make it 6 speed

I think he had a full engine/drivetrain a while ago, not sure what's left tho.

it will all boil down to money, what happens to it. Hopefully the flush etc, will prolong the auto's service life a while and then we'll go to manual, right off to sleep now as I've been working nights this week and need to be up handed this afternoon as I've still got to finish put in the T-5R back together for York this weekend

To go 6 speed AWD then you`ll need a box from a volvo and it is costly but to go FWD then you can use the focus (volvo) box which is cheaper :)
