5w30 A5/B5 oil that's what mine gets. The A5/B5 is a better oil than A1/B1

Is their a label on the underside of the bonnet as some have .

The oil meets the spec. Most A5/B5 oils are 0w30 as it's a thinner oil fuel saving spec side of things.

Try the oil finder with this one it does list 3 different oils for my car dependent on the year of car.

Comma oil fully synth was in my V70 T5 when i bought it and once living in Kent near where they blended it, all my mates used Comma .....but now it is still not a good oil for quietness of the engine.....in fact i would never ever go near it for a T5!

On the earlier motor with no VVT the 10W 40 grade oil is great for performance and smoothness but later engines with VVT the 30 grade is better as recommended by Volvo as if not used the VVT life may be limited and cause problems!

Each to there own...

I'v used Comma oil for years with diesel and petrol engines and never had an issue with it.
Its as quiet as a mouse, no noise whatsoever in any engine including mower if you use the decent stuff.
Craig if you or someone you know has an account with Dingbro they stock the full range of Comma oil.

my oil stays in for 3k only and its out so as long as its above a1 and b1 then I don't care too much for really expensive oil.

Stupid question time.. Fully or semi synthetic, which one would give quietest smoothest engine running.

Just asking this because after my last oil change I started getting noisy tappets, I put this form to the garage using inferior oil.

Thanks

I think it would depend on the viscosity of the oil, fella, not about whether it is sythetic

Engine Flush and then some Zero Twenty grade oil off of ebay.... no don't! ;)

People recommended 10W-40 to me, perhaps some Castrol Magnatec or something like that, I prefer using a genuine Volvo Oil filter as well.
