hi

im in the middle of building my t5 engine for my hotrod ive put the crank in and since putting the intermediate block in and bolting it all up the crank has gone really still stiff ive used the original crank shells as they looked in really condition and i put them back in the same positions im really lost now what it could be there is no pistons in yet shall i change the shell for new ones ive priced them up for around 65 quid

i would like to change the turbo to a bigger one at the moment i have a 15g could i fit a bigger one without modifying the crank and the pistons

thanks

Not good! I would loosen all bolts and start retorque sequence again, Checking crank rotation after torqueing say 2 bolts at a time, That way you can determine when it goes tight and what main bearing it is causing it and go from there, Easiest upgrade is a 16T, Do a search, Theres loads of info here on turbo's.
