Hi all. This is my first post but I need some advice. I've got a 2006 V50 D5 which is experiencing some EGR issues. The car is down on power and really sluggish when cold or just setting off. I've had the AA look at the car and it had some EGR errors on it. I've been advised as to take the EGR clave off and clean it as it's probably blocked and that's the issue.

I've searched the internet and can't seem to find details about my model of car so does anyone have any experience with these EGR valves and have a procedure and photos of what to do to remove and replace this valve?

Issue sorted. I cleaned the valve and that made no difference, so I put the car in the garage and they cleaned it as well and let me know the valve stepper motor was dead. Europarts wanted £300 for the part and Volvo £360. Then I found www.partsforvolvosonline.com and they wanted £140. Delivered within 24hr and the service was excellent. Stepper motor now fitted and car is like a rocket ship now.
