Mine still works, though the engine is knackered (although it started first time the other day on 2+ year old fuel and hadn't been started for 8 months)

I didn't think you could properly turn it off??

apparently you can

To fully disable the DSTC, the car must be stationary and the DSTC button pressed five times at a specific frequency. This completely disables the system.

one of the reasons i didnt fall for the s60r thought it couldnt be turned off always felt like somthing stopped you driving like you wanted too lol

I just thought it'd be off... But not really off.

Can't go having fun in a 300bhp Volvo now, that might be far too hilarious!! :D

You definitely can, we turn ours off when we take it up the strip. :D
