interesting, always wondered what it would look like, I reckon with the number plate where it should be it will look good, Is there much of a gap under the centre of the grill where it meets the bumper?

That's Hussein Holland's machine IIRC and he opened up the central grill section for more air flow. Interestingly he just put a 4" MAF housing in it.

Looks nice and certainly different to the norm :)

On that silver V70 the bumper looks too beefy compared to the rest of the car, need to do the skirts and rear bumper to match.

to be honest if youve swapped everything else to suit v70 front end then i reckon it would look different to this, ive make it fit around the 850 wings, lights bonnet etc so its holding it in a funny position which you'll see when i stick on more pics later, its definitley got a 'bubba jaw' stance to it which wasn't intentional :D

the funny thing is, someones actually borrowed my S/V70R bumper with the intention of fitting it to his 850 but said it was too much work. Obviously you've shown it can be done :)

i think the main tricks are;
the 850 bumper support is too high for the v70 bumper
the v70 bumper support doesnt bolt to 850
v70 attatch to the wings different
head light wipers are closer on an 850
and v70 doesnt reach to attatch to subframe

i feel chuffed i managed it to be fair :)

Rear bumper looks spot on, front bumper I'm still 50/50 on need to see it in the flesh I think. Still a nice change to the norm and if it works for you then who cares. ;)

well 48hrs in and the idea of a splitter is a nono, now the suspension has settled back down it scrapes gettin on and off my drive :doh:

originally i was goin to mount it higher as thats where the v70's are right under headlights which would of given me the same road to bottom of bumper height as the 850 one... but the bonnet wouldnt fit the recess on the xc, there no holes to mount on wing that high and the bumper would of covered part of the wing, so the bumper is about 40 lower than standard xc (headlight trim width) plus -40 springs an 40 profile tyres on the front, i cant feasably fit a splitter now :)

the xc70 bumpers are different to a normal v70, normo ones are colour coded and dont have the grey plastic and taper in from top to bottom at front unlike the xc one which is pretty flat ;)

Excellent, thanks. Looks like its a goer for me too then, having seen yours and Husseins. I think I prefer yours actually - the red suits the style really well.
