Gave some love to the S60 today. It was well overdue! The ATR has been getting all the attention lately!

Spent most of the day on it;

*Washed with Simoniz wash & wax
*Dried with Meguires water magnet
*Alloys cleaned with acid free Wonder Wheels Hot Wheels
*Alloys waxed with Mer wheel wax
*Polished with Autoglym Super Resin
*Petrol flap, door, boot & bonnet shuts Cleaned with Demon Shine
*Glass cleaned inside & out with budget £1 glass cleaner!
*Engine bay WD40'd to hell, and Quickdetailed! Could do with a day on it really!!
*Tail pipe cleaned up with Autosol
*Mud Flaps & various exterior trim treated with Autoglym bumper care
*Tyres dressed with cheapo tyre gel
*Hoovered out by Henry :-)
*Interior dash, trims & door cards cleaned/polished with something in a can
*Leather cleaned and treated

I'm feeling a change on the horizon. I can hear an XFR calling my name! :hidesbehi

If I was to keep it, which I still might, I'll be getting the colour coded trim redone soon! They are really starting to flake badly, and it totally ruins the rest of the car.

The eagle eyed amongst you will notice I've caught the ££££ing splitter on a curb! :slap:

I'll think about it. I do think I would look good in a starlet.

Lovely car and nice work in the main :) The only thing I would advise caution on is using WD40 on rubber hoses and plastics, even though I know loads of people do. One of the main elements of it is petroleum distillate based so stands a good chance of damaging or effecting things like gaskets over time. I know it's easy to use and 'shiny' but I have seen first hand instances where WD40 has damaged rubber hoses causing them to develop weak spots & swell when pressure builds.

You can buy relatively cheap products like Car-Chem Rubber and Trim Wax or Aerospace 303 that are ideal for your engine bay plastics and perfectly safe too. I hope you don't mind me chipping in but I'd hate to read that you later have a problem and I'd read the above and kept my mouth shut.
