You can read the build thread under my sig (the middle link) but in very simple terms, forged 2.4 engine with all inlet and exhaust optimized, Very big turbo feeding into a Supercharger.

by optimized do you mean straight through and load as hell cause thats what it sounds like from behind, wouldnt have it any other way though as it sounds awesome when i'm following you and you will have to take my word for it i'm not lagging behind cause i'm slow its cause I saw what you did to Iancho car on the Evo so give that exhaust a bit of space for the flames :yikes::yikes:

only asking when I last seen it at Avon dint look like it ad that ?

last run out at Avon I only had one run and it slipped the clutch in every gear, then they wouldn't let me go again because of the split oil return pipe, anyone who has been in the car will tell you how it goes :)

Thats just because its colin........he could have veyron and he'd still do a 14.7 1/4mile.

I'm not sure if the peril holds the UK title.
I'm not sure what blacky finished off with too but last time I saw was at 450 odd

Fwiw 2 400hp engines don't make an 800hp combined car

Blacky 450?, and how does two 400bhp engines not equate to 800bhp?

EDIT: You mean BlackBeast's car, that has been broken for spares.

You know I mean black beast

The day you manage to have it running on 2
Dyno each engine separately then together
See how short you'll be of what the 2 single figure hps add to ;)

the two engines running on a dyno would give a false reading as the dyno would calculate for a awd transmission loss, which the two engines would not have, and I recon I'll have both engines running and on the road before you get your car painted :P...lol

LiamT4
Wednesday 2nd April 2014, 21:53
I disagree, if both engines have 400bhp then the car will have 800bhp. What whp it'll have is another matter, but it could possibly be less than a normal awd car because of the the different transmission.

Well as you'll be running 2 drives you'll still be losing twice tho

Hereya just found this for you.

2 320hp engines making 500hp

Remember you'll still be pushing 400 from front and 400 from rear axels

If my front engine produces 434bhp, it isnt going to mysteriously produce less power because I have another engine in the car, the car will produce more whp than an equivalent powered AWD as it won't have all the AWD transmission loss. Anyway, who cares what power it produces, I will be having the fun driving it :)

exactly its how it drives that matters and the satisfaction of knowing you built your own one off beast.

I put my green one on the same Dyno last Week, and it did 17bhp less than it did at power station, even though I'd adjusted the wastegate and turned the boost up a bit more.

Tim Williams' T5 is relentless. I don't think mine is far behind but is a different beast with the new engine - torquetastic ;)

How does that work then lol more boost equals less bhp, any reason for it? Might just pick a number out of a hat for mine :)

Each dyno is different, but i wanted to run the green one on my usual dyno, so that I could get a figure from a dyno I know, the same as you want to run on HLM's dyno.

Your's is a lot more than 260 mate, nearer 310/320 when it's boosting correctly. ;)

Best time was a 14.014 I think, definitely more than 260 bhp needed for that, though I think for that run, he ran the boost pipe directly from the turbo to the wastegate.

Saloons or coupes (which are generally stiffer still having a shorter roof) are the way to go mate, keep telling you that you need a C70. ;)

I would of thought around 280 at the flywheel with just the 304 on it, whens the next dyno day steve? I will have to put it on the dyno and get an accurate figure instead of a guess.

I made 324 bhp (flywheel) at the last dyno run in Gosport, would be nice to do another run when the forged engine is fitted :)

I don't think there's one planned yet, but a few of us want to have a run once we've fitted our mods.
