Hi,

I'm quickly approaching the point of needing new discs and pads on the front on the v50 d5.
Am I right in thinking that they are the 320mm fitted to it? Is it just the 7mm Allen key like the 850/70 as someone mentioned its a torx on them.
Big question is what to fit back on, stay oem or are there better combinations available? Where's the best place to get them?

Chris

For normal road usage, OE brakes. If you want something with more stopping power then use uprated brakes.

For the price of OE brakes (£170) are there better alternatives? I know on the 850 if we had anything other than OE fitted it squealed like a pig.

You can get XC90 336mm disks and carriers for peanuts these days...

So can you use the calipers that are on with the XC90 carriers or do you need the XC90 calipers as well?
