View Full Version : Oh bugger!

I think it's terminal :(
We took the sweed to work this morning as the weather is a fit foggy and the starlet has no front fogs. Going up a big hill I went to overtake and "POP - rattle rattle rattle" "oh bugger" car instantly went into a juddery limp mode. Luckily, this was right next to where I work so I pulled in and popped the bonnet. The engine is all over the place, shaking and rattling and I think I can hear the compressor wheel pinging off the side of the housing.
I would get a video but I don't want to start the thing again. What do we think? dropped valve? bent rod? I suppose with nearly 210k miles and the level of abuse it's had over the years, it was gonna happen sooner or later :wallbash:

How much is an ME7 engine these days?
