Rust, rust, rust! Check rear arches, sills, front chassis outriggers and door bottoms especially.

Water leaking into the boot. Check the actual condition of the rear lights, they're prone to fading and cracking and replacements are highly sort after and therefore very expensive!

Interior trim is brittle and poorly made so check all plastics inside are in good nick as finding decent dash surrounds and seatbelt arms for example will be getting much harder now.

Check when the cambelt was done, should be every 5 years and as space is very tight getting a garage to do the job will be dear, I've never actually heard of one snapping mind. These Renault engines are actually quite strong little things ;)

Electrics; check the info centre, fuel gauge etc all works along with the pop up lights. If there's a delay between the lights coming up a motor is probably out, if neither come up on there own probably just a relay or dodgy drl bulb!
