Good start mate, what exhaust did you get? Oh and Ford didn't fit a big spoiler on the back of the Cossie so you could dry your chamois on it. ;)

Fitted a Bosal standard thingy in the end although it is crap
Should have taken it down to Graeme`s for a proper system
3 door spoiler is perfect for chamois drying

It was always mine too so when I had the chance it was a no brainer
In theory it should be the first car I don`t lose money on if I ever (unlikely) sell it!

Front bumper lower half is split, rear has a faint crease in it and bumper is gouged
Want to replace them to tidy it up and then get a bit of paintwork done

Dropped a valve seat, I think I over revved it bringing it home, went from 2nd to 1st instead of 3rd!
Engine went bang two days later on the bypass giving it some!

a R bumper on a t5 is just so wrong. not into this look alike stuff. its like buying a 1.0 ltr saxo and fitting a vtr bodykit and wheels. its still a t5 at end of the day

It`s a lot more secure than it looks Frankie and one of our cars is always parked a foot away from the door

If we were discussing classics Graeme like Cossie vs RS500 I would agree with you regarding look alikes but at the end of the day they are old Volvos and if I think the R bumper looks better then I don`t see a problem. I have no intention of making an R look alike, if I wanted an R I would go and buy one, this one`s the daily so I just want it to look nice and tidy

Leather interior has arrived :banana::banana::banana:
One slight problem - listing stated manual adjustment, drivers is electric!
Is the wiring likely to be there unused somewhere or will I need to get my local car sparks to have a look at it?

Monday 24th March 2014, 15:44
youll be fine with the electrics seats bud, just plug in the harness and theyll work ;)

I thought that, due to the key recognition thingy (changes the seat position when a particular key opens the door), the seat needs to be set up via Vida?
The electrics will be there tho so if all else fails, get a sparky to bodge it :)

I think it's only 4 well hidden bolts and another two holding it to the dash.

Look superb in leather Graeme, proper classy and so much better than the velour things
Just hope that electric drivers seat fits in as easily
I think it's only 4 well hidden bolts and another two holding it to the dash.
Looking at the new console it would appear to be two at the bottom of the storage bit and two into the dash
Cant find any screw holes at the side at all
Is there any way to release the handbrake vertically to make it easier to get out?

Yes, battery neutral cable was disconnected while working on it
Bricking it when I reconnected in case airbag light stayed on!
One thing I thought was strange, what are the wires connecting to the rear seat backs for?

I have only ever seen the console for the later cars as part of an interior but I will keep my eye out for you
Might be worth trying your local breaker
These guys are worth a call as well, they send stuff all over the country and they are very helpful

The wires could be for the rear headrest's to fold down,my S60 had a button near the gear stick the would drop the headrests down.
