Can I suggest you turn the guest feature off ?

Whenever I'm logged in I always see a tonne of guests reading the site. If you wanted to increase membership numbers it would make sense to make all forums read only by members ?

Or at least the majority.

I often look at this site quickly whilst at work, and I usually don't have the time to log in unless there is something I need /want to reply to.

Provided guests aren't able to post, I think viewing the forums as a guest is acceptable.

I agree with Darren. Guests being able to read whats going on (and seeing how friendly we all are ;)) is more likely that they will join and stick around. Those that only join so they can find the solution to their problem and then disappear again its not really worth them going through the registration process.

I agree people should be able to have a look around without signing up i had a good look round before i joined and if i couldnt have done that i may not have bothered.
