Excuse the ignorance, but what's a Volvo 855

I've an 850 but only just noticed, on the inside of the filler cap, it say's 855 (where the tyre pressures are etc.)

Anyone want to school me on 850/855's?

The 5 relates to the number of doors, hence 855 estate, 854 saloon.
