Will T5-R Clutch Fit T5?

Hi Guys,

I need to order a new clutch today, can someone tell me if the T5R clutch from Sachs will fit my Volvo 850 T5? Its 1997 - reading as many threads as i can but cant find a definite answer, got to order it asap

Frankie has recommended the 850R clutch as it will take a lot more torque and power if you ever decide to up the power in the future. I thought the T5 and T5R clutches were the same?

yes, they are the same..........272237 = T4/T5 for 850 and early V70.........`98 on with DMF is of course different number

I had the clutch done recently. I had a volvo oe t5 clutch fitted. I feel that it has a lighter pedal feel then the clutch that was in the car. Something to with the strength of the spring I think.

I found it was cheaper for me then the sacsh one

Interesting, as I understood it Volvo only fit SACHS. So, if you had an OE T5 clutch I think you'll find that it is a SACHS clutch anyway.

What a dogs dinner this turned into! Been back and forth to Eurocarparts, been told that Sachs dont do a kit for the Volvo 850R anymore

I have just ordered the 850R kit from FRF Swansea instead, great guys. Highly recommend them - 3 peice kit, total price with VPCUK discount - £249
