I was looking at the Volvo liqiud gasket seal which was £31.40 and thought **** me

What do you gents use: Volvo or RTV or what?
Is one brand better for the sump and a different brand for rocker cover?

I used Hylomar :) if it`s good enough for Rolls Royce it`s good enough for me :)

not all sealants are the same, same remain tacky wen cured, some go rock hard, some can break up on float about in the oil, And most have temperature ranges.
always read the spec on the back to see which ones suitable. ;)

Hylomar, Corteco, Granville are some of the good ones, Payen also do a assembly compound which is very good. :)

well that's testament to its quality then lol honestly ive used this more than once and for a tenner your not gonna get much better, plus theres enough in one tube to do 3 cam cover changes, the stuff you get from the main dealer is just enough to do one!!!

I use some stuff I bought from Eurocarparts years ago, it's still useable to this day! never had any problems with it.
