After seeing so meny volvos with boost gauge's I thought I woupd go and get one see what pressure my turbos running with the dti tuneing chip on be4 I go removing it and getting it remapped but im now stuck what pipe to cut and join any ideas?

I am sure MRP will be there like a shot to sort you out,just a shame you can't fit a torque guage as you have some nice numbers.

If only harvey lol was a good day me and mrp was impressed with the figures she going to have a remap soon so I can take off that dti chip :)

just modified a bsp push-fit to a M10 thread, ready for fitting.
drills and tap bagged up ready to go...

just need to finish rebuilding the blast wheel I'm currently working on for silly money then it's off home to finish fitting chavboy's new toy lol.

we'll that was easy... drilled and tapped the egr pipe, fitted the port with a liberal layer of ptfe tape, plumbed in the pipework and away she goes :)

it doesn't read negative pressure at all due to the fact there's no vacuum caused by the throttle butterfly... there's no throttle butterfly! but he's been getting close to 1.7 bar with the dti tuning box fitted which is a bit frightening lol

Yes martin was abit frightening when ut read that high but wat a laff wjen we went upbthe road but im well pleased thanks again martin now lets go to the pub

strangely - no, it blows a lump of tar out the pipes from time to time but it's not smokey. made 177bhp and 341ft/lb on the rollers a while back and since then I've sorted a leaky injector and it's running really well.

well its better than my work van then, it fills the road up every time the turbo kicks in..................................its my main source of entertainment while im at work :D

Now with a remap hopefully put it back on the rollers and see what itle be its now running better then when I bought it ;) :) :(

Thanks mate my I add although I bought the gauge martin fitted the pipe work amd drilled the egr to make it fit he is a very clever man

Nice work, must be almost frightening seeing the boost gauge go so high but then diesels do run more boost than petrol engines anyway...

a alloy intercooler would be a very good mod on the d5.
