After the R had been on the rollers on Saturday, the clutch bite point went to (almost) the floor, and the brakes were rock hard. Since then they've returned to normal, anyone got any ideas why this happened? My original thought was the cluitch slave cylinder was on the way out, but that shouldn't affect the brakes. Seems weird that 2 systems that share the same fluid reacted in opposite ways. Any ideas gratefully received.

The hard brakes could be the vac valve under the cover to the right of the air filter,as when on max boost there is no vac from the engine to the servo so the Electric vacuum pump takes over looks like a 3 way valve with a wire going to it.
The clutch could be a little bit of air in it,give it a bleed and see what comes out.

Don't worry about it mate, I get it all the time if the car has been stuck in traffic for some time, it's the brake/clutch fluid boiling because it's so close to the turbo, might be worth a fluid change. (although it didn't cure mine)

Sorry for the brief off-topic but Colin, I like your 'user title' - "Bongo Baiter". :hilarious
