Due to the price difference of wheels and tyres between 17'' and 18'' im considering the smaller ones, unsure if they'll look good though

That was my 19's mate lol, not interested in the ride , it's all about the looks lol as long as I can afford them,

What's people's opinions on multi fit wheels?

If it's for the look, roll the arches, get some 25mm spacers and slap 22"s on there :)

Yum.

Chrome 20 inch wheels with spinners Frankie!!!

17's would win for me, much else I think would look too big

I thought you were the Volvo styling guru, why are you asking us? ;) If the car is going to be purely a styling exercise, then I'd say 18's or 19's.

they measure the same as 850 wheels except the offset is only et20 or so, so definately spacers will be needed

Did you see that link I put in ur first 740 thread.
They got some nice fibreglass pieces.

Thought I'd seen spacers that had adapted centre size to fit jag, ford etc wheels to volvo.
I love look of a dished alloy the 700/900 series.

O.K., numpty to start with, I offered you my opinion on what wheels I'd fit. As for picking holes in everyones threads or posts, you should read what you post before critising other people you're the worst for it.
As for asking just so people have something to talk about, that says to me you've already decided, and you've just started this thread to up your precious post count, that no-one else cares about, hence why you never multi quote. I don't start threads just for the sake of starting threads, which is why I haven't started any needless ones.
If you don't like what I post, you can either stick me on your ignore list, or report my post, it really is that simple. :D

If you're implying you're going to break my nose, you'll need a stepladder to be able to reach that high, I'm more worried about getting headbutted in the knee caps.

No, but my height does help me avoid situations, but then I don't go looking for trouble. ;)

Cheap nice looking rims are not always a good idea especially with deep dish .soft alloy and bend very easy .i like borbet a wheels polished nice .im going for deep dish split rims in the future on the 940 just for looks and keep my bbs for the track .18s always look good in 700/900 rwd cars

I'm with smithy on the bbs.
I like old school so i'm going with some bbs e28 3 piece wheels....18s or 19s

They're 5x112 but if you do quick ebay search found lots of adapters to 5x108 with varying centres.

There you go job done. :gossip:

Now if your 740 has a t3 fitted i'll kindly take that off your hands for my 13c just as payment for saving you all that time for looking at all those wheels.
