Started to gather all the bushes required for my S40, since it has been run at ground scraping levels & now 14 years old most of them are shot. I've used poly bushes in the past & although generally good some have worn out quite quickly due to the grease drying out or corroding inner tubes.

So I thought I would give Hardrace bushes ago, not specifically for the X40 but the early Evo's. Only thing not available was the roll centre kit which was a shame. Here is a pic of the rear trailing arm bushes against the poly, be interesting to see how the pillow balls compare against the poly bushes as they only move where they are meant too & not flex or compress.

I head you can replace one of the 2 lower engine mounts with an evo one as well.

the one somebody needs to make is the top engine mount because I split 3 genuine ones!

You can replace both of the lower mounts with Evo items, I'll have to dig out the part numbers.

I do have the upper engine mount as well, just need to find a suitable upper gearbox one now.

The pillowball type are the same price as any poly bush available, be interesting to see how well they hold up! Mitsubishi added pillowball bushes to the outer of most of the standard suspension arms as standard on the Evo.

#6344 Front lower harden bushing. £85.00
#6497 Front lower roll centre adjuster. N/A
#6324F LCA bushing pillowball. £56.00
#6182F Trailing arm pillowball. £56.00
#6181 Rear strut mounts. £47.00

These are the prices I paid from a UK supplier, still waiting for the rear strut top mounts, hopefully they are available.

the lower mounts differ on later models. yours must be a 1998-2000 car?

Both of mine are 1997 & have the smaller rear lower mount. Its been nearly 5 years now but from what I remember the front & rear lower mounts on the Ph2 models are pretty much the same size. So used the Evo 4-6 front lower mount on the front & rear,.
