Have you got RAC or AA cover, they'll get in in no time.

Can't you remove the weather strip at the bottom of the window and use the old bent coat hanger trick....worth a try

Pull the top corner of the door it will flex enough then wedge it with something and slide coat hanger in and pull the lever back simples :)

That's an awesome idea Colin.
Quick question. Though woody, did you fit a rear handle to de-lock it?

Or don't de-lock it in case your battery goes flat :P

Thought about doing it with mine, but with my luck the battery would die and at some point I would be stuck

For the record James, if the car is deadlocked, that method won't work.

surely you cannot use a coathanger or whatever impliment because it is deadlocked anyway?
the only way is get power to the system. - smashing the window will only allow access to the bonnet pull. can you get in through the grille on these? not sure.

Get power to the car Dean and you'll be sorted. Starter motor, any where really.

standard across the whole range

standard across the whole range

they do for any with a guard 2.1 or 2.2 alarm late 1995-1997. incidentally, I believe these are not thatcham cat1 due to having no immobiilser chip in the key.

on the 1992-1994 ones with the early alarm, you put the key in the door and turn 1/4 to lock, then turn again from top and it goes around further to 1/2 turn and activates the deadlocks.
