as promised pics of the 850 ive bought for development reasons. i wont have this long. its a embarisment to have on my drive. its done 191k 2.3 t5 auto. will prob be striped when im finished with it. things didnt go well once it we got it off the recovery truck. first the batter was dead. no big deal. but the hand brake wasnt very good. so had to leave it in gear. so i got it started. got the mrs to move my car as i couldnt take my foot off the brake unless i wanted to collect it from the bottom of my street. went to move it and it stalled. typical. jump started it again. parked it on my drive went to put the poor handbrake on and the lever came off. enjoy the pics

Wow! Don't think I've seen a handbrake lever snap off like that before :0

How can people treat cars like that, don't care what mileage it has done... Look after a car and it will look after you?

today i decieded to give it a wash to try and make it look better. dont want the outside of my house looking like a volvo grave yard. outside came up ok. looks presentable. inside well ill let the one pic i took do the talk. i scraped it off with henry. then soaked in disinfectant then out came the jet wash. blasted the carpet then removed water with vax. i repeated this 3 times.

Personally , I'd have removed the carpet because I learned a few years ago whilst valeting cars that pressure washing the carpets in the car will soak the underlay and then it will slowly rot and stink. No matter how much vax extration you do will get it out because it soaks right through. I'd advise you to take them out and dry them in a garage in you have one, you'll be amazed at how much water has built up underneath!

That reminds me, a mate of mine took his car to the Romanian car valeters place and left his dog inside. When he came back the dog was soaking wet as well, so he asked the guys why his Dog was wet, they said....

"You ask for your Car Pet to be wash, we wash for you...." :ices_rofl :B_thumb:

Why did you buy a car just to scrap it, that seems like an odd thing to do?

Had somebody looking for a t5 engine and gearbox yesterday if you want to sell the car on when you're finished with it, saves dragging it to the scrappy
