It could be adapted pretty easily though with the right skills & tools.

It could be adapted, but not pretty easily, all the suspension mounting points would be wrong, along with engine mounts, then the engine bay is too short for the longitudinally mounted Jag engine, you'd have to fabricate a transmission tunnel, and raise the boot floor to allow room for the rear axle. Plus a lot, lot more, so doable yes, easy no.

But if you had the balls & the skills to swop the floor from a different car then a few engine mounts & suspension turrets would be easy to fabricate also.
You'd hardly go charging in with big plans if you didn't have the ideas.
You wouldn't technically have to use the jag running gear.
