Hi Guys,

Recently, after returning to my parked car, I noticed my alarm had been triggered. At the time, I did not see any cause.

However, on returning home, and reversing into my drive, my reversing beep was on constantly.

So, after checking this out, it appears that someone tapped my rear bumper, enough to cause the alarm to trigger, and dislocated sensor 2. It's been pushed in, and in now loose. No other obvious damage, not even a scratch that I can see???

Had a quick look in the dark, but I cannot see if it's possible to try and clip this back in without removing the bumper.

Is there a way to get to this sensor, or is it a bumper of job? If bumper of, is there a guide on this?

TIA
Edward.

Cheers Martin,

I wonder if I can get away with only undoing the left half. Is the bumper flexible enough to get my hand down doing that, or should I take it all off?

Cheers.

Although it looks like less hassle to only take half the bumper off, I've learned from experience with my front bumper, that it's easier in the long run to drop the whole thing off and lay it across a couple of wheelie bins to work on ;)
