Only a couple of months ago I was thinking about building a twin engined T5 (T10) one front one rear. The quick easy(?) way would be to fit the complete engine and subframe with struts etc.

I hope you do it to save me doing it. More hassle than I could really be bothered with. Watching with interest

But then I would still be stuck with 430bhp, and I want more :)

I like the way it has a theoretical 472hp with 2 engines, Colin's got nearly that just in the front, and his main challenge will be getting it to corner nicely, as I don't think cooling will be much of an issue an estate (wagon for those elsewhere)

jamesy12345
Thursday 21st November 2013, 11:47
that's 'only' a T10 not a T10K :). I agree an estate would be a better choice but hats off to anyone who can do this.

By the end of the year I hope to be rear while drive also but unfortunately not in a Volvo, will be a Renault if all goes to plan

Looks a truly bonkers project so I look forward to seeing you pull it off!!

My only concern would be [& I think someone else posted along similar lines] what the hell happens when you power into a corner with all that extra horsepower + weight in the back???? I know some Yank has already built a similar car, albeit a saloon, but they're not famous for producing great cornering vehicles - straight line speed yes......bendy bit on road, screech, eeeek, big tree, bang, oops....very bent motor [plus big fireball if it was a movie :firedevil]. How are you planning on keeping your Swedish rocket stuck to the macadam??

Cheers, Shin

Time will tell, but it will be very bias to front wheel horse power, MR2's and most supercars seem to manage to get around corners, so I don't expect too much of an issue.

Probably OK to use it but I bet medical is more expensive....

Automotive-grade liquid nitrous oxide differs slightly from medical-grade nitrous oxide. A small amount of sulfur dioxide (SO2) is added to prevent substance abuse. Multiple washes through a base (such as sodium hydroxide) can remove this, decreasing the corrosive properties observed when SO2 is further oxidised during combustion into sulfuric acid, making emissions cleaner.

From here...

Slow progress, but every bit is another bit ticked off the list, Today was carrying on with joining the bits together, first job was to close off the box section off the front inner wings:

It seems to be an optical illusion as the back of the vent is actually straight.

It may look better that way BUT then the vents would be forcing air in as opposed to pulling the hot air out. It would have less effect as a vent :(
