Wow.
Any idea of final weight?
Will you get a chance to put it on a set of racing scales for an idea of corner and cross weight?

I guess in some ways the rear engine is less complex as there is no PAS to run/ route. Be good to see it soon.

No,I'm afraid not, I'll put it on a weigh bridge when its all done, just to see the overall weight.

Is it 100% driveable now? How does it feel?

What is the law regarding wheels that are wider than the body? I know a few people who have those stupid "euro" look tyres, where the wheels stick out about 2" and the tyres are stretched to fit..............apart from looking f-ing stupid and ruining the ride, i thought they were illegal?

claymore
Monday 8th September 2014, 20:39
Tyre tread must be covered by the body work, I can't stand stretched tyres.

Well that's really ££££ what a ££££ service rob people of their money for a product that obviously doesn't work correctly for long periods of time must be really cheep components used.
It was before my time with the adam/Hamish thing but obviously following suit from what ive read

Tyre tread must be covered by the body work, I can't stand stretched tyres.

So the alloy itself can stick out, but not the tyre tread, strange.

On one of my mates cars, there is actually a gap between the edge of the rim and the tyre, its looks stupid and its so stretched that there's no give in the tyre. The ride is sh*te.

claymore
Monday 8th September 2014, 21:13
the wheel itself is only allowed to stick out by a certain amount, but I can't remember what it is.

Sure there should be a 30mm radius, eg no sharp edges.

Well, I feel like having a break from all the mechanicals, so it's time to start on the arches,

First, start off with a nice piece of glass:

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u258/claymore2k/T10%20Projects/20140916_140400.jpg (http://s170.photobucket.com/user/claymore2k/media/T10%20Projects/20140916_140400.jpg.html)

lay out the cardboard templates to see if I can get them all on:

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u258/claymore2k/T10%20Projects/20140916_141108.jpg (http://s170.photobucket.com/user/claymore2k/media/T10%20Projects/20140916_141108.jpg.html)

Followed by a couple of layers of fiberglass:

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u258/claymore2k/T10%20Projects/20140916_143913.jpg (http://s170.photobucket.com/user/claymore2k/media/T10%20Projects/20140916_143913.jpg.html)

And if I'm fiber-glassing, that can mean only one thing :)

mark out ready to pull off the mirror in a couple of hours:

No mechanicals or fiberglass today, Today was a bit of wiring, one of the things that has pecked my head since the engine went in was the temporary starter switch (screwdriver, which I've lost a few times) and having to turn round to start the car, so now I don't have to go through all that anymore.

Given that the 2 gearboxes work from the same lever - if both engines are not running then assuming that the clutch control is also linked - doesn't that mean that you can't run them independantly - or am I missing something? How do you run it in single engine mode?
