850 steering rack repair

Hi there,has anyone tried repairing the rack with one of those repair kits off eBay??

If you mean the seal kits to stop your rack leaking into the gaiters then.....no !. However mine was doing exactly this a few years ago, it was absolutely peeing out the of the rack clips. I used a couple of bottles of Lucas power steering conditioner as a temporary fix till I got around to changing the rack/scrapping the car and years later it's still leak free !

Lucas is a great staff and stopped a few steering rack I know of too
