View Full Version : Fuel regulators..

I've just purchased some green injectors ready to be built & cleaned by our own mrp. I plan on fitting a walbro 255 fuel pump eventually but I'm guessing I'm going to need a fuel regulator off a late v70r to get my flow right as this is the car they came off. Does anyone have any ideas of what pressure rating I need & what other cars they are fitted too?
Does anyone have one for sale please?
Cheers for the help.

An 18t I've got mate, I figured the greens would be the next step given the late ph1 v70r's have them with a 19t?? Thought with the planned map I'd be laughing? Doh!

greens go with 19't or k24's, if you can find someone to custom map they will be fine or they'll overfuel, i had greens in my last saffy and it didnt like it at all

I am planning on a custom rica map off GRN next year so I'll keep them for that when I get my 3" down pipe. I'm just trying to compile my mods bit by bit to hit my target. Was hoping for some more pop & bang too. Lol

Just get your own injectors cleaned mate and leave alone, as Frankie says spend the savings on a decat :)

I've got a de-cat... We're a bit low on pops & bangs though. :(
What power are the whites maxed out at then?
Cheers boys, maybe I should've asked instead of thinking for myself.

Blues and a walbro at 3.8 bar, and 19psi of boost will get you flames and pops and bangs lol

I'm right in thinking all injectors are the same bar the colour rating? I'm sure I have some blues from my vauxhall days. Flames pops & bangs is what we're after, oh & a bit more go. Lol

as long as they are high impedance and fit they will work once mapped, there are people on here that use vxr blues

Hell, no. all blues are not the same, but the Volvo whites and Blues flow the same at the same pressure, so all you actually need is a 3.8 bar regulator off a 1.6 ford focus, I'm pretty sure I've got one somewhere.

As claymore has said whites at 3.8bar flow the same as blues at 3 bar. Carefull on the fuel reg there is 2 types ones angled the other is straight like the volvo one.

Nop, thats wrong, blues are supposed to run at 3.8 bar, but if you run them at 3 bar, they flow the same as whites, if you run whites at 3.8 bar, they will flow the same as blues, but probably wouldn't last long.

I take it these will fuel me the best out of those suggested ? I may be able to get discount on vauxhall parts still... I will speak to my bro in law, he will get all excited thinking I've got a vxr.... NEVER!!

So realistically mate do you reckon my whites are good for 300bhp or do I need some blues & 3.8 bar reg & fuel pump?
I'm forward thinking as I know I'm going to want more once my awd is working.

300bhp is just a figure mate all depends what dyno you want to go on, it's how it drives and yes for you turbo/needs/awd, whites will be fine.

This one maybe...?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Fiesta-MK5-1-2-1-4-16v-Fuel-Regulator-2002-2008-/141092778336

Does that mean the standard pump can put out 3.8 barg after fitting the above regulator?

What about adjustable regs? Just thinking as how do we know that 3.8 bar gives the perfect AFR? Just a thought as id like to get the ratio perfect but also looking for AFR Gauge that will give me an accurate reading?
