i bought it a week last saturday. an M Reg Aqua Green T5 Estate. Saw it in the Auto Trader for £1699. Thought to myself... hmmmm thats cheap. Called the garage up asked how much he would take for cash. He said straight away £1350. i was like WOW !! He said its got a little rust on the boot lid and some stone chips on the bonnet ( not a problem i thought, my brother is a paint sprayer heheeh) and its doen 192,000 miles. Was abit dubious about it but still thought its worth a look.
Went down to view it on the saturday, got there, it had done 196,000 miles and had 4 stone chips in the windscreen as well as the bonnet and the rust on the boot. Took it for a test drive, the engine is sweet as a nut !
Got back from the test drive and i said to him, right lets haggle. He said go on then. I said £1300 for cash seeing as you said it had 192,000 miles on it and you didnt mention the stone chips in the windscreen, he said i cant really take less than £1400 for it but i will goto £1350. i said you said that on the phone yesterday, so he said fine, give me £1300 for it then !! BARGAIN!!

well theres a few little bits that need doing on it first. The rear wiper motor is shot, so im trying to trace one of them (ANYONE THATS GOT ONE GET IN TOUCH PLEASE !!) and the drivers door hinge is shot as well. my brother is going to do the bonnet and boot lid for me in the next month and the only thing its really missing is the Roof spoiler which im trying to track one of those down as well.
i do plan on chipping it, as the amount of power at the front wells on take off (although awesome) prevents a fast getaway... just spins for fun LOL ( as im sure you know)
i have seen a couple of chips out there that offer 30% more torque and 20% more boost and have some custom mapping on them that brings all the boost and power in later so you can take off without leaving half your rubber on the road.
Other that that i dont have a clue what i can do to it yet. thats why im here :) :)

Well, for your parts you need try Salvo in nottingham 0115 944 5644, they come highly recommended!
As for the tuning - once you get her running spot on then there are a few tuning companies available to you. For 304bhp and 420nm of torque then you need to talk to the Volvo Tuning boys in Bromsgrove!

How much were the window tints and do you get any crap from the cops for them?

I am tempting fate here but I actually think that I get less hassle in a T5 than I would any other car - I accidently overtook at copper on the M1 the other day at a little over 85mph and he didn't even give me a second look.

the problem i get is when its dark..... and people see the outline of the car behind them and suddenly start sticking to the speed limit !!
although i did play a blinder last thursday on my way to the pub... 2 pikeys in front of me in a corsa, same situation as above, but i kept my distance, and the passenger was constantly looking in his wing mirror trying to see if there where any lights on the top ( i assume). He indicated to turn left off the road, and i indicated as well... but carried on straight on.
Evil i know but pis* funny !!

I was quoted £380 i think, but ended up paying £300 cash in hand. The legal bit with tints is a bit dodgy. But the short answer is no, i have had no bother with the law on that car or any of my cars that i have had pro tinted !
