Hi all, I have just bought a S60 T5 and need help.

I am after a BOV for my car and have had a few suggestions but don't know where to start looking, need someones knowledge on this site!!!!!

I got this advise off a mate:

My advises would be to stay away from a flow off valve as it will just cause more problems then give you any type of hp gain. This is because it will vent out air into the atmosphere that the engine ECU already calculated would go into the combustion camber so you might run to rich.

then I got this info:

We can get around this by using a dump
valve that has a secondary spring to stop the piston opening at idle.
This is the main complaint with std dump valves as it lets in unmetered
air which makes the car run roughly or stall.

Where would I find a fitting kit for this and what type would you go for????

Please advise!!!!

Not sure about the S60's but with the P1 S/V70's and 850 T5's you will get no performance gain from fitting a BOV as they already have recirc DV's. I assume it is the same for the S60 p2 V70's.

You are talking about a twin spring dump valve there, baileys for example, they have the d/v 26 and d/v 36, both of which are twin spring.
