Hi, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. V70 suddenly cut out. Turns but won't start now. Fault codes are P0108 map circuit too high, P0094 fuel system leak small, P0087 fuel rail system pressure too low, P0102 MAF sensor flow to low and P0112'intake air signal to high. Fuel pump is good, checked the filter and it's clean. Checked for leaks and nothing obvious. Disconnected the MAF as read somewhere it would start..didn't. Checked all the connections and all seem sound as do the fuses. Could it be a faulty MAF or does the combined codes seem like the MAP is gone? Any advice or anything else I could check would be really appreciated. Thanks

Hi & Welcome,

Can't really help but didn't want to read 'n run.

Looks like you're reading from a generic code reader there.

Do some googling using the fault code along with Volvo D5 and you should shed some light on it. A quick search showed that there's a barometric sensor that reads the ambient air pressure. When it fails, it throws code P0108.

Welcome to the forum bu the way.

Thanks Steve and Thanks M-R-P. Yes, it was just a plug in diagnostic code reader borrowed from local garage that gave me the codes. Weird thing is no warning lights. Read somewhere when the MAP goes it throws up an engine management light but maybe not in every case. Appreciate your help and welcome

the other codes could possibly point to a leaky injector.
The problem with code readers is they usually point you in the right direction but can often lead you astray.
My generic told me a code I had was the cooling fan switch when it was actually an intermittent fault in the ecu.

Best thing to do would be to get it on some specialist Volvo diagnostics.

Thanks again. Had a good root about tonight. Disconnecting, cleaning and trying different things. Looks like no fuel getting the fuel rail. Thought the pump was ok but rethinking that now. Have a new fuel pump so will try that tomorrow. Fingers crossed! If not will do as you suggest and get it to the Volvo garage

just in case you did not know, fuel pump in tank is at about the level of 3/4 full.

you really want it less than half to safely undo it.
