My XC70 diesel recently went in to limp home mode and a message came up reading engine service required.
My local MOT centre and Bosch agent has diagnostic equipment and all the latest diagnostic software for my car, so the owner said but is this the same equipment that a Volvo franchised dealer has? They struggled to locate the fault, replacing 3 components and spending an age checking for air leaks, at great cost before the fault was fixed. Would I have been better going to a Volvo dealer?
What are other owners experiences and comparisons please?
Thanks everybody, in advance.

Definitely better going to a dealer, or Volvo specialist, as they'll have the Volvo diagnostic software.

Possibly/Probably..............Volvo Dealers/Specialists have Volvo specific diagnostic gear which may have helped. (Also possibly having more knowledge of the car).
