Well as you all know my mechanical knowledge is er..... not my greatest quality, I'm going to be replacing the vacuum lines (with M-R-P's help, he doesn't know it yet though) and I'm just wondering if this is a suitable line to use.....

Martin did say I'd need about 4m.....sound about right ?
As for clips how about these.....

Would 10 be enough, I guess 8-10mm would be fine for 9mm OD hose.
As the car is now 15 years old I may well be changing the TCV as well, stick with the Volvo one or is there any benefit in fitting the uprated IPD one ?

You really thought I'd believe you were gonna change your own vac hoses? Jog on sausage-fingers ;)
The IPD tcv might make the car more aggressive, not sure you want that while running the 310.

Just remember, Martins favourite place to change vac hoses is the Vine car park.;)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-Metre-Silicone-Vacuum-Vac-Hose-Pipe-Tube-3mm-4mm-5mm-6mm-7mm-8mm-9mm-available-/130689076114?pt=UK_DIY_Materials_Plumbing_MJ&var=&hash=item1e6dad0b92
Will it stay on itself Rob ? If not what should I be looking at to secure it ?

What you need to hold the hose on is the spit of a fly :)
Mine are such a tight fit on the fittings :)

I have a feeling Graham likes the idea of all those shiny silver miniature mikalor clamps, all pointing the same way just the ones on his RIP kit.
turning into a right bonnet - magpie is our Graham.

Just don't want them coming off mate, think the silicone ones should do the job.....and stay on by themselves.

Volvo fit clips to the pressurized pipes when they build the engine and you're now running more boost so logically, securing those pipes with something would be a good idea.
