C70 Brakes.

Hi all,
This has prob been asked somewhere before (But I can't find it).

I have a 2004 C70 2.4T GT Auto convertible.

At the moment it has the standard 280mm front brakes. (All Volvo bits).

I wish to upgrade them, and have been told that the basic upgrade would be just the Carriers and 302mm Discs.

Is this correct ? if so what are the part numbers of the bits I require ? Are there any others ?

Also could I source the parts second hand, from a P1 V70 say ? are there any others that will fit.. COST is very important, needs to be low.

Hi Joe

I would suggest you obtain a set of secondhand carriers and use new discs and pads. Used carriers will set you back about £30 the pair

some people say you don't need them, but i'd get the longer brake-lines as well. Its a perfect time to upgrade to braided & i don't think you can skimp when it comes to messing with brakes

i agree - if you're going to do this I would full service the brake lines, put braided lines on (they're not that expensive) and put new fluid in.
